About Us
I’m Jeffrey Reynolds, the athlete behind SBR Sports, a comprehensive website focused on multisport training and triathlons. Here, through triathlon guides and researched articles, I aim to answer all of your questions and queries related to swimming, biking and running, whether you are experienced or just starting out. You'll also find honest, unbiased triathlon product reviews.
To answer the most pressing question most athletes have - yes, triathlons are safe. They are heavily supported races, but if you have questions about your physical abilities, talk to your doctor first. Triathlons and the exertion that accompanies can be great for your physical health and your mental health, but check in with your health care provider to make sure that you don't have any conditions that you should take into account.
Training for a triathlon can be a daunting task, especially if you are a newbie to the world of fitness. Swimming, cycling, and running all in one is the ultimate dream, mostly because it's challenging physically and emotionally. As a triathlon competitor myself, I understand the nerves, as well as all the questions and queries people may have regarding training for a triathlon.
I started in my 40's as a runner, having completed my first 5K in October, 2010. Since then, I have competed in dozens of road races and completed 15 marathons, including the Long Island Marathon, New York City Marathon, the Steamtown Marathon and the Philadelphia Marathon. Since 2013, I have also completed 40+ triathlons including the olympic-distance New York City Triathlon three times several Ironman 70.3 mile races and a full 140.6-mile Ironman Florida.
I pride myself on the ability to answer all of your questions, and since I have been doing it for so long, I have garnered a fair bit of knowledge over the best equipment, training gear, shoes, and even energy bars! On SBR Sports you will find a little bit of everything, and I hope this will be a welcoming online community where you can come and learn more about triathlon training!
